Senior Pastor
Tim Simpson has been the Senior Pastor at Greenridge since 1992. He and his wife, Carol, live in Damascus. They have three sons, two daughters in-laws and two grandchildren! Tim grew up in a pastor’s home and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1967. He began to sense a call to the ministry as a high school student. He was ordained by First Baptist Church, Waldorf, Maryland.
Tim graduated from Carson-Newman College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served at a church in Howard County for ten years before coming to Greenridge.
He serves as a Trustee with the International Mission Board of the SBC, has served as President of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware and helps with an interfaith advisory group for the County Executive.

Pastor of Youth and Young Adults
Mark Brunke has been doing youth ministry in some capacity or another for nine years. Prior to coming to Greenridge he served as the Youth and Children Pastor at a church in Oak Park, Illinois. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelors in Pastoral Studies and is over halfway finished with his Masters of Divinity. Mark loves talking theology, apologetics, fantasy, and sci-fi. Mark's wife, Christy, is a wonderful mom and a soon to be published author. Their three-year-old daughter Michaela loves trains, trucks, and climbing at the park and their ten-month old daughter Angelina loves laughing, attempting new yoga poses, and chewing on everything. Discipleship Pastor
Paul Davis was raised in southeast Missouri as the son of a Southern Baptist pastor. He has served in various places as youth pastor, associational youth director, music pastor, small group leader, and Sunday school teacher. Through some very cool, God-guided circumstances, Paul joined the Greenridge staff in October 2015 as the Discipleship Pastor. He earned a Master of Arts and a Master of Theology (both in Old Testament) at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and he is currently pursuing a PhD in Semitic Languages and Literatures at the Catholic University of America in DC. Paul really enjoys reading, languages, Star Wars, tacos, talking about the Bible and theology, playing with his kids, driving, and staying warm. Children's Ministry Director
Mary Ann Blackburn has been actively serving in various areas of the Children's Ministry at Greenridge since 2009. Her husband is Mark and they have four children, one son-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter. Mary Ann previously served as the Children's Ministry Director for 7 years at the People's Church in Amarillo Texas, and as the Preschool Ministry Director at The Church at Quail Creek also in Amarillo. Mary Ann graduated from Baptist Hospital of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee and worked in the medical surgical area for several years. Administrative Assistant
Alana Davis moved to the DC area in August 2015 with her family after being at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina for five years. She enjoys using her gifts and abilities to support and further the mission of the local church. She and her husband, Paul, have been married for seven years, and have two young children, Olivia and John Mark. Alana's email.
Manager, Business and Communications
Robert O'Conor has joined the GBC team after a career in Law Enforcement/Security and Business. Bob, married his high school sweet heart, Rebecca in 1987. She and Bob have been members of GBC for nearly 20 years. They have three sons (Brady, 28; Patrick, 25; and Ryan, 17). Their three son's grew up at GBC and they have been active in the Children's and Youth Ministries. Bob has served on many volunteer teams throughout his 20 years of membership. Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a high school senior in 1980. The work of the local church is very important to Bob and he is thrilled to be at GBC.
