SPORTS MINISTRY

Open Gym:

Volleyball - whether you have years of experience or really just enjoy playing the game, come join us on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, starting at 7:00 pm, for a night of recreational volleyball games. Teams are assembled as people arrive and families are encouraged to come and spend the evening together! For more information, contact Kim Bright.

Men's Basketball - Come out on the first and third Tuesdays of every month for a night of pick up basketball with men of all ages and skill levels! For more information, contact Carl Braithwaite.

Team Sports:

Men's Softball League -
Greenridge is a part of the Damascus Church Softball League that plays once a week from April to July. The team is open to men age 18 and up. For more information, contact coaches Bryan Mindte or Neil Weigle. 

Middle & High School Basketball League -
Each winter, our students are a part of the Christian Basketball League with other area churches. Co-ed teams are divided by grades: 6th-7th, 8th-9th, and 10th-12th. Practices begin in December, games begin in January and the season closes with playoffs in March. FCA Connection:

Greenridge has an ongoing partnership with the area chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We host a winter sports clinic and just finished our FCA Sports Camp in June. Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to get involved with FCA!

Health Ministry:

In an effort to encourage our congregation and the surrounding community to make physical health a priority in every household, the Greenridge Health Ministry works to keep us informed! With information posted throughout the church building, we aim to answer questions you may have about your health or the health of those around you. Information and bulletin boards are updated regularly to have the most current news available. Additionally, Greenridge hosts blood drives on a quarterly basis in conjunction with the American Red Cross.

Christian Lyme Support Group - Beginning in September a group will meet that is designed to offer Christian support and encouragement to those suffering from Lymes Disease as well as supporting family members and caregivers. Through prayer and sharing, individuals who have similar struggles can find comfort in one another. Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month in the Upper Fellowship Hall.
