The Ridge Kidz Children's Ministry seeks to partner with families and provide resources and tools which support the entire family in making, maturing, and multiplying disciples.

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

  • How do I check my kids into Ridge Kidz?
When you first turn into our parking lot, look for the entrance that says "Children's Ministry." The doors are located right under the Ridge Kidz Logo. You'll be welcomed by one of our Check-in volunteers who will walk you through our process. To check your child in, we’ll need some information including your child's name and birthday, your phone number, and any special instructions or allergies. Your child will then receive a name tag and you will receive a barcode with a matching number. At pick-up, you will go to your child's classroom and show a leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room.
  • How are the 9:30 and 11:00 service hours different for elementary-age kids (K-5th)?
During the 9:30 hour, elementary children join their families in our main worship service until around 10:00 when they are dismissed to KPW (Kid's Praise and Worship). At this time, they line up at the door and are escorted downstairs by our KPW team. In KPW, we walk through the stories of the Bible through exciting themes, games, activities, and more! At 11:00, our Sunday School teachers come and pick up their class from KPW and we split into grade specific classes. Here, children will deep dive into the different books of the Bible and learn how to know, love, and invest in God’s truth.
  • How does Ridge Kidz handle safety and security?
We take the safety of your child very seriously. All of our volunteers are background checked, must sign a church covenant, and take a course on child protection policies each year. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by volunteer and paid security during each service to make sure your child stays safe and secure.
  • I have a child with special needs. Is there anything I should know before I take my child to a children's ministry program?
If you have a child with special needs who might need a little extra support, we'd love to partner with you to make their experience amazing! We have sensory toys and noise-dampening headphones that are always available and are currently working on a Buddy Program that will allow a one-on-one experience for your child. Please feel free to email Elizabeth at ELinam@greenridgebaptist.org with any concerns or questions.
