Clarksburg Community Action Network
In partnership with Cedarbrook, Greenridge is proud to host a food pantry located in one of our modular buildings. Designed to serve those in need of food that live in our local community, anyone that resides in the 20871 zip code in need of food can come and receive. The pantry is supplied largely through donations from our own members along with area restaurants and grocery stores. The pantry is open on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, 5pm-8pm and the first and third Saturdays of the month, 9am-noon. If you have questions or would like more information about donating food or if you are in need of food, please call 240-308-0867 and leave a message.
Compassionate Assistance = Relationships for Eternity
After numerous post-Katrina missions trips to New Orleans, many Greenridge members began to see the same type of need in our local community although on a smaller scale. As these folks put their hearts and heads together, they created this ministry that uses actions such as yard clean up, drywall hanging, and painting (to name a few) to reach those in need that are closest to us. This ministry is another way to demonstrate what Jesus commands when He tells us to "Love our neighbors as ourselves." Do you know of someone in your local community that could use some assistance like this? Or do you have a need of your own? Email our ministry leaders, Dick Tatton and Ron Welke, today for more information.

The program provides 2860 children in 57 MCPS elementary schools with nutritious food to bridge the gap between Friday and Monday, for families who might struggle with food insecurity over the weekend. Here at Greenridge, we pack and deliver Smart Sacks weekly for 114 students at 4 elementary schools in Gaithersburg and Clarksburg. All are welcome to help pack Wednesday nights at 6:45 pm in Mod D, and volunteers to help deliver the bags to school or help pick up food from Manna are always appreciated.
